Amy Harris is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lines. She joined Hammond Insurance in June of 2021. Amy is responsible for serving the commercial insurance needs of the Hampton Roads market, building out this new market’s team, and generating awareness of the agency and its offerings.

After 17 years of leading corporate marketing programs across multiple industries, she made the decision to follow her true passion for client service and shifted into a role where she can work directly with business owners. She works to ensure her clients understand their exposures and are protected against them, by acting as their 3rd party risk manager. From construction & property management to hospitality & tourism and financial services, she offers well-rounded risk mitigation insights to her clients while ensuring a high level of client service and satisfaction.

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University and an MBA from National University in La Jolla, CA. Originally from OH, she is proud of her “Buckeye” roots, of being a military spouse and having lived on every coast in the country, but mostly for showing her two young daughters that with hard work, they can do anything.
