A native of Staunton, Virginia, Andy Simmons began his career with Hammond Insurance in 2011. With his experience as a licensed Life & Health agent, he initially started with a focus on sales but soon he began showcasing a talent for logistics, management & financials and moved into the operations side of the business. His willingness to help out wherever he is needed, as well as his exposure to all facets of the agency, contributed significantly to the expansion of the firm’s footprint across the state. In 2018, Andy was as promoted to Chief Operations Officer, where he continues to oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency and focuses on the successful adoption of new agency initiatives such as process innovation/improvement, market expansion, compliance, and financial goals. He and his wife Melissa reside in Staunton, along with their two young daughters, Charli & Landyn.
