Dain is the founder and CEO of Hammond Insurance Services. Dain founded the agency in 1999 having grown up watching his father Roger build an agency. Dain graduated from Longwood University where he majored in Business Administration. In the early years of Hammond Insurance, Dain worked as a bartender in the Richmond restaurant scene. Leveraging his insurance experience and restaurant owners’ network, Hammond Insurance became one of the leading insurance providers to Virginia-based restaurants.

Dain has experience in construction and has built and managed over 50 projects and about $200 million in total values projects via his development group, Hammond Assets Management. He now works with leading construction firms throughout Virginia, helping them mitigate risk while maximizing return.

Today, Dain serves as CEO of Hammond Insurance Services and spoils his greatest loves, his two daughters, “Ellie” and “Viv.” You can still find him working with clients on job sites during the day and in bars, pubs, and restaurants at night (sometimes Friday and Sunday afternoons). He loves the three industries and works tirelessly to help independent owners build better businesses and environments for their team.
